things that crawl in the night

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE THING THAT I WAS DREADING THE MOST:

THE SCHOOL UNIFORM

for people who know me and my school, they know that i have never had to wear anything close to a uniform. everyday was my chance at a fashion show, i always made sure to never wear the same thing twice in a small period of time (around 3 months). sometimes, i only wore something ONCE a year.

 Now I have to wear the EXACT same thing.
every flipping day.

now, it isn't as bad as i thought it would be. { note: AS bad }
the design of it and the colours don't drive me as crazy as the fact that i can't wear any accesories!
ITS SO PLAIN, I CAN'T DEAL WITH IT!

nonetheless, here is a photo of it!

vest, button-up dress shirt, KNEE LENGTH SKIRTKEEGANDOHERTY, 5 year old tie { see below } and HELLO KITTY SOCKS. EEEEEK!

{ NOTE THE ZIPPER }

** to my peeps, homeboys, and bitches back in canada**=
STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW TOUGH THE RULES ARE AND ETC. YOU DO NOT HAVE IT HARD AT ALL. YOU CAN WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT. AND YOU CAN WEAR MAKEUP. AND JEWELRY. AND SHOES.
STOP IT.

oh yeahhhh. forgot to mention the shoe thing:
customary in korea, it is VERY rude to wear your shoes indoors. hense, everyone wear slippers. (adidas sandal things)

^^ these uglyass things^^

if you forget your slippers, guess who is walking around in socks for 9 hours?

now that this rant is over, give me your opinion below:

SO... I am finally back from Mexico! It was probably the most amazing trip that I have every been on! I can't even wait to post all the photos from it! I, along with my entire family, have a great deal of new found respect for Mexico, her people, and her culture. It was so diverse and welcoming, I wish I would have put it higher on the list for exchange destinations!

And now for other things of importance!

Happy Belated Birthday Nicholas and Jesus!
Nicholas is my brother, and he shares the same birthday as the son.

Christmas outfits. One of the most exciting parts of the season for me! I love to dress up in the colours of the season and wear luxurious fabrics and patterns! My family laughs at me every time. This year, I was asked by my Nana if "I was going to Florida!?!" Don't ask me how this makes any sense in context. It doesn't. This outfit is more appropriate for riding in a One-Horse open sleigh with than traveling to a tropical destination.

Wearing Old Navy Jacket, Thrifted Elephant skirt and skating hat, unknown scarf thingy, Diesel shoes, NEW Louis Vuitton handbag!

Another accessory that I am very proud of is my hair! It was braided traditionally by one of the locals during the trip. Isn't it just lovely? This sea lion seems to like it too.

SO..... AGAIN..... HELLO. Sorry for not posting. University dreams are stressing me out and therefore, schoolwork has taken presidency in my life. BLAH.

So now for some big news. I have been involved in applying for a Rotray Exchange for the past 2 months. The program sends students from all over the world to different countries and gives them the opportunity to live there for 1 full year. I have been hoping, praying, and eating all of my vegtables in hopes that they would choose me to go.

AND THEY DID!
AHHHHH!

If you can not tell by the large, bolded print above, I am quite excited. I recieved the call last week and just about fainted when I did. Now all I have to do is wait for 2 months to know where I will be placed! I don't get a say in where I go, but I did get to rate 42 countries that I prefered. These are my top 5!

1: JAPAN
2: FRANCE

3: SOUTH AFRICA

4: INDIA
5: SOUTH KOREA

Yes, you might be wondering why South Korea is a bunch of screaming children behind an enormous hamburger. South Korea has a Hamburger Festival that I must attend if I go. More updates as I go along in this amazing process.

Now for Today's Costume!

I was feeling like embracing my Scottish side today, and therefore, wore plaid. Lots of it. Playing up the same pattern + same colour family= goes together rule, I put together this little emsemble.
